Drew started his career in 1999 as a sofware developer at TPP. In 2001 he was made Technical Director. During this time, TPP grew from a fledgling start-up to the second largest GP software provider in the UK, and SystmOne became one of the largest transactional medical databases in the world with aro 40,000 concurrent users. Drew worked at every level of the software lifecycle, including customer engagement, design, documentation, implementation, deployment and support. He regularly presented to both large and small audiences such as the TPP national user group (SNUG) and various national events.
After leaving TPP, Drew founded Yorkshire Code to continue his work in the healthcare IT sector, as well as Aireforge, a company specialising in SQL Server utilities.
Yorkshire Code has had Endeavour Health as a major client, providing new insight into alternative technologies such as No SQL databases and modern healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR and OpenHR, as well as experience in interface standards offered by EMIS (in addition to those offered by TPP).
Aireforge has launched its first product, OmniCompare, which has had postive feedback from a number of respected SQL Server evangelists.
In all the above roles, Drew has developed excellent technical skills in Java (applications and web servers), SQL Server, C# (applications and services), Cassandra, plus softer skills such as presentation and user requirement gathering.
